Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then, she appeared on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. She also released her first music album It's Time for Tina that same year. Louise first made it to Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Big Acre, a film from 1957 that was a dramatic. This movie was hugely popular and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In the years prior to this she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The actress joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career in between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made a name for herself as a director who has been successful in various well-known television shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for her childhood and teenage years. When she was selected in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
